St Jude’s tries to be relaxed and friendly. We don’t use hymn or service books, but instead project all the words you will need to take part onto our large screen. If you think church is somewhere you can’t smile and where you have to know what to do to join in, you will have a nice surprise with us. We really do want you to feel welcomed and comfortable the moment you arrive and have big plans for refurbishing the church to increase our welcome. (If you would like to have an impression of what our Next Era Building Project will be like, follow this link.)

Our first congregation gathers on Sunday mornings at 10.30am (We have a second gathering at 6pm) with children’s events in Judes Club running at the same time as the adult service in our Halls on site (Except for summer school holidays and occasional All Age services at the major festivals like Harvest and Mother’s Day) There is also a crèche area at the back of the church, were you can supervise your child and still partake in the service if they don’t feel comfortable leaving with the other young children.

We have a number of speakers on a rota, each with their own style and take Communion together normally on alternate Sundays. The youngster groups rejoin the main service towards the end in order to share in communion and the final part of the service.

After the service, refreshments of fresh fair trade coffee and teas, fruit teas and hot chocolate are available with time to stay and chat.

Our Prayer Ministry Team is also always available to pray for people after each service, in confidence and with some privacy if you wish.
